GDS Travel and Sales Account Specialist, your role is pivotal in fostering strong partnerships with travel agencies and corporate clients, driving sales and revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction in the competitive and dynamic travel industry.

Job Description:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned travel agency or corporate accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Understand the specific needs and preferences of each account and provide personalized service and support to meet their requirements.
  • Assist travel agents or corporate travel managers in navigating GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport) to search, book, modify, and manage travel reservations.
  • Provide training and guidance on using GDS tools effectively, including best practices for finding the most cost-effective and efficient travel options.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional travel products and services to existing accounts, maximizing revenue potential.
  • Monitor booking trends, analyze market data, and recommend pricing strategies and promotions to drive sales and increase market share.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues related to bookings, reservations, cancellations, and refunds in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaise with airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and other travel suppliers to resolve discrepancies and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments, trends, and offerings in the travel industry, including airline routes, hotel accommodations, and travel technology innovations.
  • Share insights and recommendations with accounts to help them stay competitive and enhance their service offerings to clients.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts, agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) with travel agencies or corporate accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate account performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data protection laws, and company policies related to customer privacy, data security, and ethical business practices.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor contract performance and facilitate contract renewals or renegotiations as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least HS Graduate with 1 year travel account experience
  • must have at least 1 year Travel GDS experience
  • Amenable to working full-time on-site with shifting schedule at Bridgetowne, Libis
